Whether you love it or gives you hives, Traverse City has landed near the top of another major list: Travel + Leisure magazine just named TC as one of the best places to buy a lake house in the U.S.
"Families flock to the towns around Silver Lake and Island Lake to profit from their calm waters and tranquil surroundings," the writeup notes.
