Try Curling This Saturday

You read it here first, and now the newly formed Traverse City Curling Club will hold an Open House this Sat., Apr. 26, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Centre Ice. The event will feature curling demos from several clubs around Michigan and former national curling champion Tyne Hyslop will be doing play-by-play commentary for spectators. The day will also feature local "celebrity curlers" from area media organizations as well as retired astronaut Jerry Linenger at 1 p.m. Attendees can try their hand at curling for a $10 donation (wear rubber-soled athletic shoes).
