Two Domestic Assault Arrests In Fife Lake

Two men were arrested Monday in Fife Lake Township on charges related to a domestic assault. Deputies from the Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence yesterday morning to investigate the reported assault; upon arrival, they witnessed two men running from the resident. They pursued the men on foot and detained them shortly thereafter. Information gathered at the scene led to the arrest of a 17-year-old male on charges of domestic assault and resisting and obstructing; the subject was also issued a citation for careless driving. A 21-year-old man was arrested on charges of resisting and obstructing. Both subjects were also arrested for unrelated warrants.

The victim of the assault sustained minor injuries; no medical treatment was sought. The names of the arrested subjects and the victim have not yet been released.
