Woman Arrested For Drunk Driving After Getting Stuck In Snowbank

An 82-year-old Swartz Creek woman was arrested early Thursday morning after getting stuck in a snowbank in Suttons Bay Township.

The Leelanau County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a vehicle off the rodway on M-22 a short distance north of M-204 at 2:20am. Deputies found a 2017 Chevrolet vehicle off the west side of the road stuck in snow.

An investigation determined the driver had been drinking prior to driving. She was placed under arrested for suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and taken to the Leelanau County Jail.
