Woman Arrested For Fighting At Cedar Wedding

A 41-year-old Howell woman was arrested Saturday after getting into a physical fight with her husband at a Cedar wedding reception.

Leelanau County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to a residence in the 9100 block of Kasson Street in response to a reported fight in progress. A wedding reception was underway at the address when a fight broke out between the woman and her husband. Both individuals were intoxicated. Witnesses told deputies the woman repeatedly struck her husband during the fight.

Deputies attepted to interview the woman, but she tried to walk away and get into a vehicle. The woman was detained, and after being interviewed, was arrested for domestic assault. She was taken to Leelanau County Jail. The suspect's husband was not injured during the assault.
