Free events all day at The Alluvion and the Commongrounds Building. Art & music all day from Jimmy Olson, Joe Wilson, & Kevin LaRose in both locations. 10-11am: "Mindful & Musical with Miriam Pico" in The Alluvion on floor two. 11am-2pm: Community Artmaking with Laura Adams. Hands-on art projects in The Hive, 2nd floor lobby of Commongrounds. Noon-2pm: A shared meal offered to nurture connection, conversation & community. Food located on the first floor of Commongrounds. 2-4pm: Youth Poetry Slam: "Where We Were, Where We Are, Where We're Going." In The Alluvion on floor two. Presented by nationally acclaimed Detroit spoken word poets-in-residence, Joel Fluent Greene & Peace Bell & their student cohort from Northport Public School. 6-8pm: Free ticketed show at The Alluvion with Poet Laureate, Jessica Care Moore.
