Northern Michigan is laced with miles upon miles of trails, and you don’t need to be a fair-weather fan to enjoy them. In this week's Northern Express, sister publication of The Ticker, staff scoured local conservancies for some of the best winter hiking spots where you can enjoy a peaceful hike, a snowshoe, or some blissfully brisk cross-country skiing in the heart of winter.
