The teenager entered a home in East Bay Township on US-31 during the night and pulled on the clothing of a woman sleeping inside, waking her. The woman, who was also visiting the area on vacation, chased the boy out of the house and off the property. Based on a description she provided, deputies were able to locate the boy on his bicycle in East Bay Township. The juvenile was also connected with another attempted break-in at a nearby hotel room, where two occupants reported waking to their door open and their exterior window screen cut. An eyewitness saw a teenager leaving the property on a bicycle.

Deputies, who said the juvenile's intentions "are not completely known at this time," are continuing to investigate the incidents. The teenager was released to the custody of his parents.
