Amical Owners Retiring, Selling Restaurant to GM

By Beth Milligan | Jan. 31, 2025

Amical owners Dave Denison and Judy Sullivan announced their retirement Friday after 30 years. The duo posted on social media that they will be selling their popular downtown Traverse City restaurant on Front Street to long-time general manager Jeffrey Libman.

"Jeff is passionate about continuing Amical's legacy, honoring our past, and guiding us through the future," the post states. "For the last 17 years, he has been a leader in our commitment to quality and service, and we are confident that he will continue to take Amical to new heights."

Amical first opened its doors in 1994. In their post to the community, Denison and Sullivan expressed their "heartfelt gratitude for your support over the last thirty years; your patronage and loyalty mean the world to us. As we embark on this new chapter, we hope you will join us in celebrating this transition. Here’s to new adventures, cherished memories, opportunities for growth, and the many fantastic years ahead."
