Mark your calendars: Saturday, November 22 is the date for this year’s Vasa Ski Club Cross Country Ski Swap. The popular annual event is a fundraiser for the Vasa Ski Club and its programs, which “promote Nordic skiing in the Grand Traverse region.”

This year’s ski swap will run from 10am to 1pm on November 22 at Brick Wheels in Traverse City. Vasa Ski Club members will have early access to the event starting at 9am that morning. Both new and used ski equipment will be available for purchase at the event, as will Vasa Ski Club memberships and “the best deal of the year on TART Grooming Badges and North American Vasa registrations.”

Those looking to dispense with used equipment can also use the event to sell items they won’t use anymore. A drop-off period will take place on Friday, November 21 from 4-7pm, also at Brick Wheels.

Proceeds from the ski swap will help benefit Vasa Ski Club programs, which include Nordic Rocks & Ski Sparks for grade school kids, the Nordic Flyers middle school program, the VASA Raptors high school team, “and a variety of adult/masters programs.
