Author-Adventurer Loreen Niewenhuis Returns to TC

Author-adventurer Loreen Niewenhuis will appear in Traverse City on Friday, May 29 at 7pm Brilliant Books on Front Street. Niewenhuis has made national headlines over the past seven years as she walked over 1,000 miles around Lake Michigan and then another 1,000 miles around the shoreline of all five Great Lakes. The Battle Creek resident wrote two books detailing both journeys.

In her final book in the Great Lakes Adventure trilogy, "A 1,000 Mile Great Lakes Island Adventure," Niewenhuis shares her account of exploring island shoreline in all five Great Lakes, from Isle Royale to Montreal Island. Niewenhuis will promote the book during her appearance at Brilliant Books. Wine, cheese and light refreshments will be served at the event, which is free and open to the public.
