Blue Lakes By The Bay Acquires Celtic Transport

April 6, 2017

Blue Lakes By The Bay has acquired Celtic Transport Logistics - a deal that marks the company's third Traverse City acquisition.

"This most recent acquisition is an exciting addition to our growing fleet," Blue Lakes By The Bay said in a written statement. "It allows us to expand our areas of service and, most importantly, maximize our ability to better serve our growing customer base and the increasing demand to meet the needs of our midsize groups."

Celtic's staff will join Blue Lakes' team as part of the deal. Prior to the acquisition of Celtic, Blue Lakes purchased Great Northwest Tours in 2012 and By The Bay Transportation in 2016. According to Blue Lakes, the company has added nearly two dozen vehicles to its fleet in the last 14 months, including 4 executive SUVs, 10 mini-buses, 4 32-passenger midsize buses, 2 27-passenger vintage trolleys, and a 24-passenger limo bus.
