Body Found In Spider Lake

Grand Traverse Sheriff's Office deputies pulled the body of a deceased man from Spider Lake in East Bay Township Wednesday.

A boater called 911 to report seeing someone floating in the water at the lake. Road patrol deputies responded at 4:33pm and searched the area using a nearby boat.

The body of a deceased man was located a short time later near a boat and removed from the water. According to the Sheriff's Office, it's unknown how long the body had been in the water before it was discovered. The cause and circumstances of the man's death are still under investigation.
