Cass Street Closed Downtown Starting Monday

By Beth Milligan | Oct. 26, 2019

Molon Excavating crews will be closing the 200 block of Cass Street for a week.

Crews will be working on Cass Street between State Street and Lake Street starting Monday at 7am and ending Friday at 5pm. The closure is due to planned utility work. "This work will cause closures and disruptions to pedestrian and vehicular traffic, and will close the intersection of Washington Street and Cass Street," Traverse City staff said in a statement. "This will cause disruptions to pedestrian and vehicle traffic. The work is weather dependent. Appropriate signage will be in place, and access to all businesses and residences will be maintained at all times."

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid congestion and delays.
