Clinch Marina Parking To Be Redistributed

By Beth Milligan | June 4, 2019

In an effort to redistribute permit parking for Clinch Park Marina, Traverse City Parking Services (TCPS) is working with marina staff to provide parking on-site for seasonal boat slip holders. Effective June 10 through Labor Day, the parking meters along the boathouse and the westerly row of Lot M will be removed to allow 50 additional parking spaces for marina parking.

In the past, TCPS has accommodated boat slip holders - who receive marina parking permits - in various parking lots in downtown Traverse City. Effective June 10, the marina parking permit will be allowed in the marina lot only. The goal is to provide more occupancy in other permit lots for downtown employees, according to TCPS. After Labor Day, the meters will return to Lot M for public parking.

Thirty meters will remain in Lot M for public access to the marina, splash pad, and Clinch Park. Lot B, on the south side of Grandview Parkway, will also provide public parking for the area, with access available to Clinch through the pedestrian tunnel.
