Delta Expands Seasonal Atlanta Service at TVC

By Beth Milligan | Nov. 5, 2025

Delta Air Lines is expanding its nonstop seasonal service between Cherry Capital Airport and Atlanta, starting flights nearly a month earlier in 2026 - May 23 - than in 2025. The move will offer "travelers expanded access to one of the nation’s largest hubs," according to a TVC release.

"Increased seat capacity to Atlanta is one of the most frequent air service requests we hear from our community," says Cherry Capital Airport CEO Kevin Klein. "We’re incredibly grateful to Delta for their continued commitment to northern Michigan...demand from our local travelers continues to rise, and we’re thankful to our airline partners for responding to that demand."

The extended seasonal service comes "amid strong growth across all of TVC’s airline partners," according to the release. "The airport is on pace to exceed last year’s record of 787,114 passengers by an impressive 24 percent, driven by an expanding route map and longer seasonal offerings like the Atlanta service."

Tickets for the extended Atlanta route are now available. Delta also offers year-round nonstop service to Detroit, along with seasonal routes to Minneapolis-St. Paul, Boston, and New York-LaGuardia.
