David Montgomery, a member of the Detroit Lions since 2023, will be in Traverse City next summer for a youth football camp. The camp is scheduled for Sunday, June 14 Thirlby Field and will run from 9am to 1pm. Spots are available for kids 6-16 years old.

A standout for the Lions since coming to Detroit from the Chicago Bears in 2023, Montgomery tallied 1,015 rushing yards, 219 carries, 16 receptions, 117 receiving yards, and 13 touchdowns during his debut season at Ford Field. Last year, despite an injury, Montgomery contributed substantially to Detroit’s banner season, racking up 775 rushing yards, 185 carries, 36 catches, 341 receiving yards, and 12 catches across 14 games.

Montgomery's training camp, which is offered through the youth sports organization FlexWork, touts a program that “will guide your child through an exciting, high-energy day designed around fun and unforgettable experiences on the field. Camp activities include interactive sessions, skill stations, and unique opportunities to connect with our athletes in ways that make the game come alive.”
