Father Fred Reports Bare Shelves

Nov. 8, 2014

Traverse City's Father Fred Foundation is reporting a "critical need" of food and financial donations. The organization says while its recent Fall Food Drive was successful and the donations usually last until Thanksgiving, the shelves are already nearly bare.

"We have empty fresh veggie baskets, empty milk coolers and empty canned good shelves," according to a statement released yesterday. "This could be what our guests see Tuesday morning when we open our doors."

Donations for the food pantry can be accepted beginning Monday morning at 826 Hastings Street. More info by calling 947.2055.
