Free Estate Planning Offered To Veterans

In observance of Veterans Day, the Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim Bar Association will offer free wills and durable powers of attorney for estate planning to all Veterans.

The event wll be at the Traverse Area District Library starting at noon on Nov. 11, with the last intake at 4p.m. 

Free estate planning services include:

-Wills
-Durable Powers of Attorney
-Durable Powers of Attorney for Health Care (also known as Designation of Patient Advocate documents) graciously provided by volunteers from Heartland Hospice of Traverse City

Veterans should bring a photo ID and proof of miltary service (DD-214, VHIC, VIC, USID, or other ID)

The bar assocation aslo seeks volunteers for this event. Attorneys, notary publics and legal assistants are needed for approximate one hour blocks beginning at noon. Use the contact information above.
