Kingsley Man Arrested for Home Invasion

Sept. 1, 2015

A 24-year-old Kingsley man was arrested for home invasion after investigators were able to connect him to a recent breaking-and-entering case via a local resale shop. On August 20, the Leelanau County Sheriff's Office responded to a home invasion at a residence in the 2600 block of Setterbo Road. While the residents were away, someone had entered the home and stolen several electronic items. After some of the stolen items turned up at a local resale store, investigators were able to trace a name provided in the transaction at the shop to a M-113 residence in Grand Traverse County. A search warrant was executed on the home, where deputies discovered additional stolen items from the Setterbo Road break-in.

The 24-year-old male suspect was arrested and taken to Leelanau County Jail.
