Lake Avenue Closure Starts Monday

By Beth Milligan | Sept. 19, 2021

The Traverse City Street Department is starting a maintenance project on Lake Avenue between East Eighth Street and Twelfth Street Monday, which will require closing both lanes of the street to thru traffic.

The closure is expected to last until the end of the day on October 1. Work will be weather dependent. Appropriate signage will be in place, and access to all residences and businesses will be maintained at all times - including to McGough's and Oryana. Drivers are otherwise advised to use alternate routes avoiding the work area.
