Local Crisis Services to Hold Telethon

April 28, 2014

A telethon to raise funds for and awareness of crisis services in northwest Michigan will be held this weekend. Child and Family Services & Third Level Crisis Intervention Center are holding a "30 for 30" ($30,000 for 30,000 calls) event. The 30,000 number is significant as that is the number of crisis calls Third Level currently fields annually. In addition to the fundraising, the organization also hopes to raise awareness for the free, accessible crisis counseling and support that is available to area residents.

Supporters can either phone in donations by calling 943.2652 or donate online. Hours of the telethon are 5-9 p.m. on Fri., May 2, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sat., May 3.
