New Munson President

March 1, 2013

Munson Medical Center has a new president. Alred E. Pilong Jr. will succeed Kathleen McManus, who is retiring as COO and executive vice president. Pilong's first day on the job will be April 3 and he will work closely with McManus until she departs in the fall. Ed Ness continues as president and CEO of the multi-hospital system Munson Healthcare.

"This returns us to a leadership structure that has been in place successfully during most of Munson Healthcare's 28-year history," says Ness.

Most recently Pilong served as president of the 445-bed Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Va., where he also was senior vice president of the multi-hospital Valley Health System.
