Night Out In Kingsley Wednesday To Feature Live Music, Car Show, More

By Beth Milligan | July 18, 2021

The Kingsley Downtown Development Authority will hold its first Night Out in Kingsley Wednesday, July 21 offering an evening of free family entertainment in Brownson Memorial Park from 5pm to 8pm.

The event will feature live music and entertainment on the band shell from Kingsley Jazz Prism, Kingsley Area Bands, Swing Dance, Kingsley Dance Company, and Crockett, Smith and Armstrong. A farmers market will start at 2pm and continue through the event, which will also feature downtown Kingsley business booths. A classic car show will take place, followed by a slow roll through town at 8pm. Food will be available from Papano's Pizza - Kingsley, Ice Box Brand TC, Kingsley Papa John’s, 2 Scoops, and more. Face painting and family-friendly activities from Kingsley Branch Library and Aloft Disc Golf will also be offered.

"We’ve had so many Up North traditions cancelled in the past year-and-a-half, we really wanted
to do something that would bring our community together,” says event organizer Jena Van Wagner. "Think of it as an old-fashioned community get-together, for those that live here or anyone that loves small-town charm." Giveaways and prizes will be offered throughout the night (winners must be present to claim prizes). Attendees can bring blankets and chairs for seating.

A second Night Out in Kingsley is scheduled for Wednesday, August 18 from 5pm to 8pm at Brownson
Memorial Park.
