Police Searching For Stabbing Suspect

The Traverse City Police Department is looking for a suspect following a stabbing that occurred near West Front Street on Saturday.

According to the TCPD, a 50-year-old Traverse City man was stabbed on his face near his lip by the foot bridge at 302 West Front Street just before 2pm. The suspect, described as a Hispanic male in his late twenties, fled the scene of the crime. The suspect is believed to be 5'7", 160 pounds, and was last seen wearing tan or dark-colored baggy pants and a yellow-hooded sweatshirt. The suspect is believed to be homeless.

According to the TCPD, the stabbing is considered an isolated incident, and the weapon used was recovered at the scene of the crime. No further details were relased about the stabbing by authorities.
