Pursuit Ends In Arrest

A Grand Traverse Sheriffs deputy arrested a 30-year-old Traverse City woman Thursday for Fleeing and Eluding, Second Offense OWI and driving on a suspended license. The suspect failed to stop for the deputy, who observed her travelling on Hammond Road at 80mph. Speeds increased to 85mph during the pursuit, which ended on Three Mile Road near South Airport. The driver is in the Grand Traverse County jail awaiting arraingment.
