Roger Clemens to Throw First Pitch at All-Star Game Tuesday

By Beth Milligan | July 24, 2023

Two-time World Series champion and seven-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Northwoods League All-Star Game at Turtle Creek Stadium Tuesday.

Clemens, who played 24 seasons in Major League Baseball, will also appear Monday at the Home Run Challenge at Turtle Creek Stadium - a matchup of Great Lakes East and West's best home run hitters. The 7:05pm All-Star Game Tuesday will feature a pre-game FanFest from 4pm to 6pm with face painters, bounce houses, All-Star autographs, catch on the field, kids run the bases, and live music by The Knuckleheads. In-game entertainment will be provided by Tyler's Amazing Balancing Act.

Seven Pit Spitters are on the All-Star game roster for the Great Lakes East, coached this year by Pit Spitters Field Manager Josh Rebandt. Tickets for the All-Star Game are still available for purchase.
