Sidewalk Improvements On, Near Garfield Coming

The City of Traverse City, Machin Engineering, Elmer’s Crane and Dozer and Bella Concrete Construction will be constructing new sidewalks and sidewalk ramps on Hastings St., S. Garfield Ave. and Fern St. at the railroad crossings. The affected street intersections include:

Hastings St./Hannah Ave.
S. Garfield Ave./Hannah Ave.
Fern St./Hannah Ave.

The work is expected to start September 24 and be substantially complete by October 8. The intersections will remain open to traffic however lane closures and traffic shifts can be expected causing delays.
