Street Closures On East Front, Gillis Streets This Week

By Beth Milligan | May 2, 2022

Portions of East Front Street and Gillis Street will be closed in downtown Traverse City this week starting today (Monday) for utility work.

The 400 block of East Front Street will be closed Monday through Friday this week between Wellington Street and Boardman Avenue. The 100 block of Gillis Street will be closed Monday through Wednesday between West Front Street and the alley to the north. Crews will be doing utility work in both closure areas.

The work, which is weather dependent, will cause disruptions to pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes avoiding the work areas. Signage will be in place at both sites, and access to all businesses will be maintained at all times.
