Student Peace Rally Today At TC Central

May 26, 2016

Traverse City Central High School will host the 19th Annual Peace Rally today (Thursday) at 11am.

The Peace Rally is "a celebration of volunteerism and positive relationship-building within the district’s schools," according to Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS). This year's event will include a presentation by anti-bullying motivational speaker Anthony Ianni’s (of grassroot initiative Relentless Tour), as well as lunchtime entertainment by singer-songwriter and Central alumn Levi Britton. Activities will include team-building games, a parade, a group dance choreographed by Central High School’s Dance Team, and a flyover by the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City.

Students from Central Grade School, TCAPS Montessori at Glenn Loomis, Interlochen Community School, Old Mission Peninsula School, Eastern Elementary School, Courtade Elementary School, Westwoods Elementary School, and West Middle School will participate in this year's Peace Rally, along with students and staff from Central High School.
