TC Library Names New Director

Feb. 28, 2015

The Traverse Area District Library Board of Trustees has named Gail Parsons its director effective immediately. Parsons has served as interim director since May 2014 after former director Metta Lansdale took a medical leave. Lansdale retired in January after five years as director.

Parsons first joined the library in 2008 as its business manager and was then promoted to assistant director for human resources and finance, during which time she revamped the financial reporting system and oversaw the districtwide budget. Parsons now oversees district library operations while working with library trustees to manage the budget and identify areas for improvement.
