TC Skate Park Holds Graffiti Makeover

Sept. 27, 2013

The Grand Traverse County Parks and Recreation Department is hosting "Street-Art-in-the-Skate-Park" this Sat., Sept. 28, at the Civic Center Skate Park. The goal of the event is to give the graffiti-covered Skate Park a makeover. Park users and community members are invited to pitch in and paint over old, unpleasant graffiti with new images. Community art show organizers and artists Ryan Walsh and Steve Cattin will inspire and assist the volunteer artists. The event kicks off at 10 a.m. with a late afternoon/early evening celebration with free food for project volunteers. More event details available here.
