Three Arrested In Kalkaska Hotel Drug Bust

Aug. 20, 2016

Traverse Narcotic Team (TNT) members arrested three individuals in a drug bust at the Econo Lodge in Kalkaska last weekend, the agency announced Friday.

Kalkaska deputies were tipped off by a local resident on the evening of Saturday, August 13 that a man staying at the Econo Lodge was selling heroin and cocaine. TNT was contacted and assisted in drafting a search warrant that was executed on the room in the early morning hours Sunday. During the search, officers located several grams of pre-packaged heroin and cocaine, as well as a large amount of cash.

A 45-year-old Detroit man and 30-year-old Lake City man were arrested on narcotics charges. A 31-year-old Lake City woman, who was also in the room, was arrested on an unrelated warrant. All three suspects were lodged at the Kalkaska County Jail.
