What Marinas Up North Are Expecting This Summer

By Beth Milligan | June 13, 2022

For those who make their living at marinas and those whose summertime lives are largely defined by them, it’s the busiest and the most wonderful time of the year. But just how slammed are marinas these days? Is there enough room for all the boats? How big and how many are there? Are the waters still rising? And speaking of rising, are the increasing fuel prices impacting business?

This week's Northern Express, sister publication of The Ticker, gives an overview of the outlook at local marinas, including how many slips are claimed or available, the cost of fuel, boat sizes, water levels - and much more. The Northern Express is available to read online, or pick up a free copy on newsstands at nearly 700 spots in 14 counties across northern Michigan.
