Woman Killed In Green Lake Township Crash

A 47-year-old woman was killed in a car crash in Green Lake Township Monday.
Grand Traverse Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the scene of the two-vehicle crash on US-31 South and Pine Tree Road at 7:20am. According to deputies, Renee Giannetti was driving east in a pickup truck and turned north towards Pine Tree Road into the path of a westbound passenger vehicle.
The drivers of both vehicles were taken to Munson Medical Center for treatment. Giannetti died at the hospital from injuries she sustained during the crash.
The crash remains under investigation, according to the Sheriff's Office.
