By Beth Milligan | May 14, 2026

A 44-year-old Cadillac man was killed and two others were hospitalized in a three-vehicle crash on M-37 near M-113 in Mayfield Township Tuesday.

According to the Michigan State Police (MSP), troopers responded to the crash at 5:07pm. A preliminary investigation indicated that a Chevrolet Impala with two occupants was traveling east on
Miller Road and attempted to cross M-37 to reach M-113. While crossing M-37, the Impala was struck by a northbound pickup truck.

After the initial collision, both vehicles were pushed into a third vehicle, a Jeep that was stationary on M-113. The Jeep was driven by a 33-year-old Traverse City woman. Her vehicle sustained minor damage, but she was not injured.

The driver of the Impala, a 44-year-old Cadillac man, was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His passenger, a 22-year-old Manton man, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup truck, a 59-year-old Traverse City man, was also hospitalized
with non-life-threatening injuries.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office, Blair Township Emergency Services, and Paradise Township Emergency Services.
