Dennos Museum Center To Increase Admission Prices

By Beth Milligan | Jan. 27, 2023

The Dennos Museum Center will raise its admission prices effective July 1 - the first time in 15 years rates have increased.

According to a museum release, the Dennos is "raising admission rates to match similarly sized museums and cultural institutions within the state." Admission will increase from $6 for adults and $4 for children ages 5-17 to $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-17. The museum will continue to offer free admission to members, NMC staff and students, reciprocal members of partner museums (NARM, ROAM, and ASTC), active duty military and veterans, children ages 4 & under, and EBT and WIC card holders through the IMLS Museums for All program. Membership rates and tiers will remain unchanged.

The Dennos has not increased admission fees in over 15 years, and held admission rates steady even after it nearly doubled its exhibition footprint in 2018, according to the release. "Changes like these are necessary for the Dennos to continue to provide the exhibitions and programs our community has come to expect from us over the last thirty-one years,” says Operations Manager Megan Holtrey.
