Downtown TC Announces 'Live After Five' Spring Entertainment Series

April 11, 2025

Downtown Traverse City announced a new outdoor entertainment experience: Live After Five, a free live music series every Friday evening from May 16 through June 6.

Each Friday at 5:00 p.m., two downtown locations will host local musicians, ranging from rock to indie, world, and folk sounds. The series aims to energize the downtown district during the spring shoulder season while supporting the region’s musically creative community.

Performers were selected through a public application process, with a focus on diversity in genre, energy, and performance style. Artists are compensated for their time and talent as part of the DTCA’s commitment to supporting local creatives.

Performance Schedule:

Fridays: 5:00 p.m., 2-3 hours, Downtown Traverse City
Performance locations: J Smith Walkway (between Kilwin’s and Pangea’s on 100 block of E. Front Street) and Horizon Books (on 300 block of E. Front Street)

May 16: Posh Nosh @ Horizon Books; Ben Richey @ J Smith Walkway
May 23: Ryan Cassidy @ Horizon Books; Whitney Marie @ J Smith Walkway
May 30: Papa Squat and the Sitdowns @ Horizon Books; Zinnia Dungjen @ J Smith Walkway
