A 54-year-old Garfield Township man was arrested on multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree for charges related to six underage victims, with the crimes reported to have occurred between the years of 1986 and 2018.

The Grand Traverse Sheriff's Office announced thursday that Mark Anthony Jakee, who is listed as a barber at Bulldog's Barbershop, was arrested April 9 as he left his residence. An investigation into Jakee began in March after one of his reported victims came forward to authorities. The Grand Traverse County Prosecutor’s Office has since authorized charges against Jakee including six counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree with a victim under the age of thirteen, one count of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree with a victim under the age of sixteen, and one count of accosting a child for immoral purposes. There are a total of six victims, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Jakee has been arraigned on the charges and is currently lodged at the Grand Traverse County Jail. The crimes are reported to have occurred between the years of 1986 and 2018. The status of this case remains open.
