Pepe Nero Approved for Liquor License

Nov. 5, 2013

Traverse City commissioners approved a request last night from Italian-Mediterranean restaurant Pepe Nero for a liquor license. The 30-seat eatery, which opened earlier this year in Building 50 at the Village at Grand Traverse Commons, received a Redevelopment Project Area Liquor License (unique to the Commons) with Class C Liquor License privileges, meaning the eatery can sell beer, liquor and mixed-spirit drinks for on-premises consumption. Under the license provision, Pepe Nero must close by midnight at least five nights a week and cannot sell alcohol after midnight any night. The license now goes to the Michigan Liquor Control Commission for final approval.
