TC Man Hospitalized After Stabbing

Traverse City police were called to the railroad tracks behind the Safe Harbor homeless shelter Saturday evening after one man stabbed another.

The victim, a 33-year-old Traverse City man, required surgery at Munson Medical Center, says Capt. Jim Bussell. Bussell says the man refused to cooperate with investigators.

Witnesses called police when they saw the man stabbed in the gut by a 32-year-old Traverse City man amid a fight on the train tracks. The suspect was arrested and is expected to be charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm.
