Cherryland Adds $50,000 To Resiliency Fund For Small Businesses

July 1, 2020

Cherryland Electric Cooperative has announced a grant of $50,000 to the Regional Resiliency Fund, created to provide grants ranging from $1,500 to $5,000 to businesses with nine or fewer employees in Benzie, Grand Traverse, and Leelanau Counties.

The program is administered by Venture North, whose staff work with advisors in each of the counties to encourage small business applications to the Fund.

The Resiliency Fund began with a grant of $200,000 from the Consumers Energy Foundation; its first small business grant round was completed in early June. The $50,000 grant from Cherryland will be allocated to businesses in the second grant round in early July.
