Interlochen Announces 2026-27 Arts Academy Events Lineup

With only a few concerts left on its summer schedule, Interlochen Center for the Arts is turning the page. The institution announced its performance schedule for the forthcoming Arts Academy school year Wednesday, ranging from concerts to musicals to ballets. A few highlights from the coming year include:

October 9: Collage, an annual tradition that “unites students from all seven disciplines for a fast-paced showcase of songs, readings, monologues, short films, dance works, and more. :

October 24: Daniel in the Lions' Den, described as a “two-story musical production” featuring both the tale of Daniel in the Lions’ Den and Esther: The Bravest Queen.

November 13-15: The Prom, the Interlochen’s Musical Theatre Company’s take on the hit Broadway musical, later adapted for the screen in a 2020 Netflix film starring Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, James Corden, and Keegan-Michael Key.

December 10-13: The Nutcracker, the Interlochen Dance Division’s annual Christmastime performances of the famed Tchaikovsky ballet.

December 17: Sounds of the Season, a holiday concert featuring Interlochen music, theatre, and interdisciplinary arts students. 

February 12-14: Cinderella, Sergei Prokofiev’s ballet interpretation of the beloved fairytale, featuring students from the Interlochen Dance Division.

May 14-16: A Chorus Line, the classic 1975 musical that won nine Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, performed by Interlochen’s Musical Theatre company.

Tickets for these and other 2026-27 Arts Academy events go on sale on Interlochen's website this Friday, August 21.
