Norte to Host Ribbon Cutting, Open House for Pump Track

By Beth Milligan | Oct. 1, 2026

Norte Youth Cycling will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new pump track at the Civic Center Friday at 10am.

The new Norte Bicycle Pump Track, located in the northwest corner of the park, is intended to offer a "new space for riders of all ages and abilities to build skills, confidence, and a love of cycling." Following Friday's ceremony, construction fencing and signage will be removed and the pump track will officially open to the public.

A free open house will take place Saturday from 10am to noon, during which community members are invited to experience the new track, learn how to use it, and connect with the Norte team. Norte will have bikes and helmets available to use, along with pump track demonstrations and staff on hand to answer questions.
